It is a charming unpretentious holiday let, a modernised apartment in an old building wbith use of a very large roof terrace with views all over Tel Aviv. The situation is perfect if you want to experience trendy Neve Tsedek whilst being in walking distance of the Carmel Market and not far from the beach. A fabulous "Place For Meat" restaurant is next door.
The bathroom could have been cleaner, and it's door could have shut better.

The location is great.
We had an issue with the owner. We advised the owner that we would be arriving very early in the morning and asked whether it would be possible to check in at this time. We were told it would be better that we book the apartment for an additional night to ensure it would be available for us to check in. We did this. However, we were not told that we would have to call the owner to come and give us a key as she would be away that weekend. We assumed she would be there and there would be a sign stating "Villa Vilina". There is no sign. Not confident we were in the right place, we waited two hours and tried knocking on a number of the doors. Finally we had to go to a payphone and call her. No apology was given. In addition to this, on our last day she also did not make herself available at the appointed check out time and we again had to wait.

Location is the best you can ask for as a tourist in Tel Aviv. The owner is responsive and officious. The rooftop terrace is great for an evening breeze glass of wine... The room itself is reasonable though less nice than in the pictures (at least the one we got, the rooms are different from each other.) Room was comfortable except for the bathroom which was very small.
The access to the room doesn't match the presumed standard and price. (The rooms are in a residential building and not a hotel with a lobby.) No soap/shampoo in the room.

There was a large window in the living room that opened to let in lots of frsh air.
The are several apartments scattered throughout an old building. We booked a superior 1 bedroom apartment. There was nothing superior about it. It is a re-done apartment in the back of an old building, down a littered alley and up a flight of outdoor metal steps. The door locked with a padlock. Hot water and electricity were not always available. When we cooked using the hot plate in the kitchenette, the only place to eat was sitting on the couch using the cocktail table. Towels were mismatched and stained. We needed to ask to have a functioning light above the stairway to the apartment. This was done. This does not define superior to us. Basic would be a better description, in our opinion.

Vilina was incredibly friendly and helpful. She was responsive to every question we had and came over immediately when we called her to say we were fumbling with the water heater and a/c controls. (They're not that hard, we must have been too tired to figure them out.) The apartments are beautiful, the location can't be beat - 5 minutes to beach and surrounded by many nice/cute shops and restaurants in the heart of a really fun neighborhood. There's also a really cool restaurant/antique shop across the street. We had a lovely time and will for sure come back.

The location here is great, right at the top of Shabazi and a couple of blocks from the bars and restaurants on Rothschild. The place itself was nice, a very good size for the price.
The place is a bit confusing when it comes to checking in and dealing with staff. Specifically there's no sign out front indicating where the place is, so we had to do a bit of searching. I wasn't shown where to go if I had a problem, so I just wound up calling any time I had a question. For foreigners who don't bring a phone this could be a problem. There's also a nursery school (or something with a lot of kids) downstairs and it's quite noisy in the morning.

Only the location
Basic things didn't work. This was a self catering room with kitchen, but we couldn't use the only kettle because it shorted out the electricity and caused a blackout. Doorknob didn't work to close bathroom. There were small roaches to welcome us in the kitchen sink when we arrived.

Great location in a beautiful area.
We stayed (as a short honeymoon vacation) for 6 days at the apartment, on the 4th day we woke up for construction work noises (there was a building being renovated right bellow the apartment) early morning. When we complained the owner said this is the reality in TLV (which is obviously not true, and quiet places can definitely be found) and she had no idea about it. Owner also mentioned it stops at 2pm, yet work was still being done in the evening as well. As a result of the construction and dust, my wife had an asthma attack- which was not often to happen. Also, door of the toilet&shower did not close properly. It was also mentioned parking is available- well it is available for 64 shekels a day (~$16), in a street near by. The owner also wanted to charge 5% extra for paying by credit card which was a surprise for us as we were never requested to pay when booking online or during previous travels through Booked.net. It's too bad information is not clearly mentioned on the site. We have never had such an experience during travelling, and always had great times.

Location, quiet, good airco and efficient space.
Cockroaches in kitchen. Poor regulation of hot water in shower. Electricity shuts down if water cooker is used. Surcharge of 5% in case of payment with credit card should be mentioned on Booked.net website at time of reservation.
